ABOUT THE MAKER

Hello!

My name is Madison, the creator/maker behind Madison Rose Ceramics. I love designing and creating ceramic pieces for others to appreciate and enjoy! At Madison Rose Ceramics, we pride ourselves on creating home goods for good homes. 

​

I began my ceramic journey during my freshman year of high school and immediately fell in love with the art form as it allows me to express myself hands-on through the clay. I continued with the passion I had for ceramics throughout all four years of high school. As I went into college, I knew I wanted to delve even deeper into the art of ceramics from the get go, which made my decision to pursue a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree in ceramics easy! In addition to the BFA, I decided to add a concentration in art-therapy in order to use my love for ceramics to help others and make a difference in the world. I believe that art is an amazing outlet where we can explore our creative sides while also keeping in touch with our emotions, mental health and overall well-being! This is one of the reasons why I love ceramics and art in general, so I love the idea of being able to introduce people to these benefits every day as an art therapist.

While I am creating my own works of art with clay, I enjoy experimenting with various bodies (varieties) of clay as well as testing out new techniques and methods to gain a deeper understanding of my craft. A majority of my work is made with stoneware and porcelain clays, but I am comfortable working with all bodies of clay. A fun fact about my work is that all of the materials that make up each piece are hand-crafted and mixed, not commercially premixed and packaged. Every single body of clay, in addition to each and every individual glaze, is made in-house by carefully combining various chemicals, oxides, heat, time, and of course - lots and lots and lots of mistakes, trial & error, and PATIENCE. This being said, each and every piece I create is made with love and passion, which I hope you can see when you look at them! It has always been a dream of mine to open my very own ceramic shop where I can display all of my works of art and share my love for ceramics with all of you!

I am super excited to see what the future has in store for myself and my art, and I am excited to share my passion with you all. Madison Rose Ceramics allows me to express myself and create works of art for you to take home, appreciate, and enjoy.
